Church Hall Renovation Project

The Church Lads & Church Girls Brigade volunteered to undertake a huge make over project of the Church grounds and to start a renovation in the Church Hall.
In January/February 2009 we had 4/5 foot of weeds to battle with to get into the Hall.
See our progress to date as we renovate the Church Hall.
Our aim is to make the Church Hall usable again and open it up to the community.
The Church Council have paid for the building materials ie cement and also wood to build the stud wall all for under £200. All other labour and materials have been generously given by the Leaders of the Church Lads & Church Girls Brigade, spanning over each Saturday and Sunday from March 09.

The Older boys have learnt new skills such as wood work, wall papering, basic plumbing and painting and decorating.  So this project has taught all involved which is a real privilege to teach for everyone to use those skills in their years to come.

This is how it started out

We had to cut back weeds more than 4/5 foot in height

Once cleared the grounds

On comes the disabled access to make the Hall a more user friendly building.

Mmm the other half of the demolition mob

Big G at work

Oh the first piece up!

Jason's handy plumbing

That sounds a good business name!
